As an international economic and trade event co-hosted by China and the 10 ASEAN countries, the China-ASEAN Expo has been held for 21 consecutive editions and has become an important platform serving the Belt and Road Initiative. The “Unicorn Zone” specially set up this year aims to showcase the cutting-edge achievements and international potential of China's AI innovators. The palm-payment devices, Nebula 401 and Aurora series depth cameras exhibited by DEPTRUM not only demonstrate the company's innovations in biometrics, robotics and intelligent terminals, but also show how Chinese technology companies use AI as a bridge to advance regional and even global exchange and cooperation.

As global competition in the AI industry intensifies, Chinese AI companies are rising rapidly through vertical-scenario innovation and high-frequency applications. The “2025 China AI Going-Global Future Unicorn TOP 100” list, released at the Expo by WeChain together with the China Investment Development Promotion Association, the China AI Hundred-Members Association and the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, aims to discover and promote representative companies with going-global potential. DEPTRUM's selection not only attests to its technical strength and the international competitiveness of its products, but also reflects the industry's high recognition of its globalization strategy.

At the event, DEPTRUM highlighted its palm-verification technology. As a third-generation biometric method, palm verification is reshaping identity authentication and payment experience with its advantages of being “media-free, contactless and highly secure.” DEPTRUM's product uses dual-modal recognition of palm prints and palm veins with an accuracy of up to 99.99%, delivering a “zero-contact, seconds-fast” palm-scanning experience that improves efficiency while reducing the risk of contact-based transmission. Today, the company has become the world's largest palm-scanning device provider with a market share of over 90%, and is building the world's largest palm-payment network together with WeChat Pay, deployed in diverse scenarios including 7-Eleven convenience stores, PetroChina gas stations, Shenzhen University, the Beijing subway Daxing Airport Line and Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.

At the same time, DEPTRUM presented its latest robotics product, the Nebula 401 depth camera. With its proprietary sToF active perception solution, it achieves a complete closed loop from “sensing — perception — decision-making,” giving robots the ability to deeply understand their environment. It offers six major advantages — ultra-slim, precise, glare-resistant, efficient, comprehensive and intelligent — and is widely used in home cleaning, embodied intelligence, education, medical delivery, commercial mowing, massage physiotherapy and other fields, accelerating the evolution of robots from “multi-sensor perception” to “deep perception fusion.”

Through the international platform of the China-ASEAN Expo, DEPTRUM joins hands with partners from ASEAN and around the globe to empower more scenarios with AI, support international economic and trade cooperation and the upgrade of smart living, and contribute to an open, win-win global technology ecosystem.
