DEPTRUM Launches the Nebula 410 Depth Camera: Compact, Glare-Resistant Perception for Commercial Robots
Recently, DEPTRUM launched its all-new depth camera — the Deptrum Nebula 410. With stronger glare resistance, excellent perception performance and a compact design, it is built to bring superior perception support to commercial robots in complex environments.
As an intelligent perception module designed specifically for commercial robots, the Nebula 410 integrates advanced optical sensing technology, breaking through the limits of traditional perception modules and directly tackling the three major challenges of robot perception — outdoor glare, size constraints and the balance between performance and cost — delivering a brand-new compact, high-performance solution for robot vision.
Measuring only 31.25 x 15.35 x 8.78 mm (L x W x H), the Nebula 410 depth camera significantly improves integration and adaptability. Its compact design packs powerful perception into limited space, opening up more possibilities for versatile robot industrial design. Through a MIPI-to-USB adapter board, the Nebula 410 supports universal RAW data transmission over USB, and with an onboard low-power AI chip it can also meet the development needs of specific RGBD AI application solutions.
Despite its small size, the Nebula 410 still delivers outstanding perception performance: a 3 cm minimum blind zone and an 8 m indoor detection range, with a 98° horizontal and 72° vertical field of view, enabling robots to accurately perceive broader 3D information and markedly improving their ability to perceive and understand complex environments.
Combined with DEPTRUM's proprietary 3D SLAM algorithm, the Nebula 410 enables home mobile robots to achieve both navigation and obstacle avoidance with a single depth camera — optimizing hardware configuration and cost while improving stability and safety in complex environments. Through the 3D obstacle map, the Nebula 410 lets robots perceive obstacles in real time, automatically adjust their trajectory, avoid obstacles efficiently and optimize their driving path.

Thanks to innovations at the underlying technology level, the Nebula 410 works stably under strong outdoor light, solving the “blindness” problem of traditional devices. Even in strong-light environments exceeding 100,000 lux, the Nebula 410 still stably outputs perception data at a range of at least 2.5 m, effectively eliminating outdoor glare blindness, ensuring seamless switching between indoor and outdoor environments and continuous, reliable perception regardless of changes in light and surroundings.
The Nebula 410's core competitiveness derives mainly from DEPTRUM's proprietary WFP nanophotonic chip, which not only brings powerful perception precision but also keeps cost under control, achieving a perfect balance between performance and market demand. It can be widely applied to commercial quadruped robots, home companion robots, smart wheelchairs and many other scenarios, helping robots work stably and efficiently in changing environments and improving both work efficiency and safety.
The launch of the Nebula 410 not only solves the three core pain points of robot perception, but also provides more precise and efficient perception support for commercial robots. As intelligent perception technology continues to evolve, DEPTRUM will keep promoting its application in commercial robotics, helping industries achieve digital transformation and intelligent upgrading.
