Another Robotics Industry Honor: DEPTRUM Wins LeadeRobot Award

DEPTRUM

At the 3rd China Embodied Intelligence and Humanoid Robot Industry Conference, the results of the 3rd LeadeRobot Embodied Intelligence and Humanoid Robot Industry Awards were officially announced. DEPTRUM won the LeadeRobot 2026 Embodied Intelligence Sensor Fusion Innovation Award for its sustained innovation in robot visual perception.

Themed “Racing the Trillion-Dollar Embodied Humanoid Track, Reshaping the New Era of Future Industry,” the conference focused on core trends in embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics. As one of the industry’s important awards, LeadeRobot evaluates technology innovation, commercial value and industrial collaboration across embodied intelligence, humanoid robots and multiple key links of the supply chain, selecting representative companies with breakthroughs in technology and real-world deployment. The award recognizes DEPTRUM’s technical strength and reflects its leading position in robot visual perception.

Sensor fusion is the core capability through which robots perceive the world, determining their ability to understand, judge and act on their environment. As embodied intelligence and humanoid robots move faster toward real-world scenarios, demand keeps rising for high-precision, highly stable 3D perception, and conventional single-modality approaches can no longer meet the needs of complex applications.

To address this industry pain point, DEPTRUM developed its sToF visual perception technology, which innovatively deep-fuses structured light and ToF to give robots high-precision, high-resolution and wide-range visual perception.

Compared with conventional solutions, the core breakthrough of sToF is integrating obstacle avoidance and navigation into a single perception module, and directly building 3D spatial maps through 3D SLAM algorithms — enabling robots not only to accurately identify obstacles but also to understand their surroundings in real time for more efficient and intelligent autonomous decision-making.

The Nebula depth cameras equipped with sToF technology output stable 3D data across a range of 3cm to 8m, supporting millimeter-level obstacle recognition and long-distance mapping. They also deliver excellent interference resistance under challenging lighting such as reflective surfaces, backlight and low light, keeping perception stable in complex scenarios for all-weather operation.

From robot vacuums to service robots and humanoid robots, the robotics industry is accelerating toward intelligence and scenario-specific applications. As the key gateway for robots to understand the physical world, visual perception is continuously upgrading from “seeing” to “understanding.”

Winning the LeadeRobot 2026 Embodied Intelligence Sensor Fusion Innovation Award affirms DEPTRUM’s accumulated technical expertise and marks a new stage in its development in robot visual perception. Going forward, DEPTRUM will continue to deepen its work in Physical AI visual perception technology, driving robots toward ever-higher levels of intelligence.
