From Core Technology to Shipped Products: DEPTRUM at the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo
On 22 June, the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) opened at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi) in Beijing. DEPTRUM, a visual perception platform for Physical AI, presented its robot vision solutions, palm-vein biometrics and a range of production-ready products, showcasing its innovations across three directions: perceiving people, perceiving space and perceiving tasks.
Under the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future,” this year’s CISCE brought together 676 Chinese and international companies and organizations from 85 countries, regions and international organizations. An AI zone was established for the first time, presenting the latest achievements in the integration of artificial intelligence and industrial chains.
During the exhibition, leaders from Liangxi District, Wuxi visited the DEPTRUM booth to learn about the company’s technology innovation and industrialization progress in active visual perception, biometrics and robot vision. DEPTRUM executives reported on robot vision, palm-vein biometrics and the deployment of intelligent terminals, and introduced trends in the AI industry.

Perceiving Space: Visual Perception Powers Smarter Robots
Robotics was one of the most closely watched sectors at this year’s CISCE and a key focus for DEPTRUM. Several robots equipped with DEPTRUM’s visual perception solutions were on display, spanning home cleaning, pool cleaning and other application scenarios, demonstrating how visual perception technology is already being deployed in robotics.
A smart pool-cleaning robot shown for the first time also drew considerable attention. Equipped with DEPTRUM’s underwater depth camera, it builds a real-time 3D model of the pool environment, accurately perceiving boundaries, obstacles and dirt distribution to enable autonomous path planning and efficient cleaning. With strong spatial perception, the robot dynamically adjusts its operating strategy as the environment changes, delivering a smarter solution for pool cleaning.
A robot vacuum on display also drew many visitors. Powered by DEPTRUM’s Nebula 280 depth camera, it achieves the industry’s first mass-produced single 3D ToF module that combines obstacle avoidance and 3D SLAM in one. Leveraging DEPTRUM’s self-developed sToF depth fusion technology, the product delivers precise navigation and obstacle avoidance while eliminating the traditional top-mounted LiDAR, allowing a slimmer chassis to clean beneath low furniture for a smarter, more efficient home cleaning experience.
From home robots to underwater robots, different scenarios reflect the same capability: enabling machines to understand space. Through continuous innovation in visual perception, DEPTRUM is helping robots gain stronger environmental understanding and accelerating the large-scale deployment of intelligent robots.
Perceiving Users: Palm-Vein Technology as a New Gateway to Digital Identity
Beyond robotics, DEPTRUM’s palm-vein biometric solution was another focal point at the booth. The technology fuses two biometric modalities: palm veins, which are inherently anti-counterfeit and impossible to replicate, and palm prints, which carry rich and stable texture information. Combining both delivers security and convenience, enabling identity verification with a natural wave of the hand.
As an important gateway connecting users with the digital world, palm-vein technology is evolving from an authentication tool into digital identity infrastructure. DEPTRUM has built a globally leading palm-vein payment and identity verification network, with a market share of more than 90% in palm-vein payment devices. The technology is widely used in payments, government services, transportation and campuses, providing users with secure, convenient and contactless identity authentication.
Building Visual Perception Infrastructure for the Physical AI Era
As artificial intelligence moves from the digital world into the physical world, demand for environmental perception is growing steadily across robots, intelligent terminals and other Physical AI devices. Visual perception is becoming an important bridge connecting digital intelligence with the physical world.
In response to this trend, DEPTRUM continues to deepen its work in active visual perception, building a full-stack technology system covering chips, optics, algorithms and industry applications. The company has filed more than 1,000 patent applications and has formed a complete capability portfolio spanning perceiving people, perceiving space and perceiving tasks.
From palm-vein biometrics to robot visual perception, and from core technology innovation to large-scale deployment in customer products, CISCE 2026 showcased DEPTRUM’s innovations in active visual perception and the broad prospects for visual perception in the Physical AI era. Going forward, DEPTRUM will continue building visual perception infrastructure for the Physical AI era, enabling machines to better understand and serve the world.
