DEPTRUM's Palm Recognition Solution Named a Landmark Product for Chongqing's Future Industries
The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology recently announced its second list of Future Industry Landmark Products. Deptrum’s next-generation palm biometrics technology was selected as a representative achievement in the city’s emerging industries.

Chongqing’s second list of Future Industry Landmark Products. The highlighted entry recognizes Chongqing Guangjian Lingzhi Technology Co., Ltd. for its next-generation palm biometrics product in the artificial intelligence category, Liangjiang New Area. Original Chinese document.
The designation recognizes innovative products that represent future industry directions, have entered commercial use, and show strong market potential. Following company applications, district and county recommendations, expert review, and public consultation, just 30 companies were selected. They span advanced materials, new energy storage, the low-altitude economy, and other emerging sectors, supporting the development of future industries and new sources of productivity.
Deptrum’s next-generation palm recognition solution addresses the need for more natural, secure human–machine interaction in the physical AI era. It removes the need for physical credentials or touch-based authentication. By combining palmprint and palm-vein recognition, the solution analyzes both surface textures and internal vein patterns to improve identification accuracy and security, enabling a new way to pay, gain access, and verify identity.
Built on Deptrum’s proprietary optical hardware and intelligent algorithms, the solution accurately verifies palmprint and palm-vein information. An optional secure encryption chip further strengthens data protection during authentication. The solution has passed certification testing by the Third Research Institute of China’s Ministry of Public Security and the National FinTech Evaluation Center (NFEC), providing assurance for deployment at scale.
With no physical credential or contact required, secure palm recognition is becoming an important authentication method in intelligent environments. Deptrum’s solutions are already used in transport, sports facilities, campuses, retail, food service, offices, and shared charging services. They offer a more convenient, natural digital experience and help make authentication and payments more seamless.
Deptrum has become a leading global supplier of palm payment devices and, as a core hardware supplier to WeChat Pay, plays an active role in China’s palm payment ecosystem. Its products now serve users on a scale of hundreds of millions, supporting intelligent solutions in retail, transport, business parks, and other settings and accelerating large-scale adoption of biometrics.
This recognition from Chongqing acknowledges Deptrum’s continued innovation and commercialization in biometrics. We will continue focusing on visual perception for physical AI, bringing palm biometrics to more industries and creating safer, more efficient, and more convenient interactions.
