Deptrum was invited to the summit, where founder and CEO Li Zhu joined the frontier technology forum, “Back to the Foundations of Technology: Solving the Century’s Challenges.” He discussed technology innovation and AI applications with fellow panelists and shared perspectives on bringing advanced technologies to market to solve practical problems. Deptrum also exhibited its latest biometrics and robotics technologies in the summit’s technology showcase.

Discussing Technology Innovation and AI Applications

At the frontier technology forum, Li Zhu and fellow speakers explored how emerging technologies can better address industry needs, as well as the challenges AI and other innovations face in real applications and commercial deployment.

As AI and other frontier technologies advance, innovation is reaching more real-world settings in industry and daily life. Turning technical capabilities into useful, deployable products that address actual needs is central to sustained innovation.

From R&D and product development to deployment at scale, innovation needs a close connection with practical demand. As a company focused on visual perception, Deptrum continually moves technology from research into products and applications, helping physical AI perceive and understand the real world.

Showcasing Advances in Biometrics and Robotics

In the technology exhibition, Deptrum presented its latest biometrics and robotics achievements, demonstrating applications of visual perception across different settings.

In biometrics, Deptrum demonstrated palm authentication that combines palmprint and palm-vein recognition. The solution offers secure, contactless verification without physical credentials, improving security and convenience in authentication and payments. It supports demanding security requirements and is already used in smart locks and access control, identity verification, financial payments, public services, and smart cities.

In robotics, Deptrum demonstrated its sToF visual perception solution. Proprietary sToF depth cameras combine obstacle avoidance and navigation while balancing size and cost, providing stable spatial perception for autonomous movement in complex environments. The solution is deployed in robot vacuums, home robots, and service robots, with continued expansion into emerging applications such as embodied AI.

Participation in the Yabuli summit enabled Deptrum to exchange ideas with entrepreneurs and researchers from a range of fields while presenting its latest biometrics and robotics technologies.

Deptrum will continue advancing active visual perception, connecting innovation more closely with real needs and bringing technology into practical applications to support robotics, biometrics, and related fields.
