DEPTRUM and Liangxi Science and Technology City Digital Economy Development Group Partner to Advance Embodied AI
Deptrum has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Wuxi Liangxi Science and Technology City Digital Economy Industry Development Group Co., Ltd. (“Liangxi Digital Development Group”). The partners will collaborate on embodied AI data collection, practical applications, and hardware development. Combining technological expertise, industry resources, and access to real-world settings, they aim to strengthen the region’s embodied AI ecosystem.
Embodied AI is moving rapidly from research toward commercialization, and high-quality data are essential to training robots and improving their capabilities. Unlike digital AI, embodied AI requires data from physical environments. This places greater demands on the spatial perception, efficiency, portability, and reliability of capture equipment. Specialized, high-performance data collection tools are becoming increasingly important to the field.
The partnership brings together complementary strengths. Deptrum has built expertise in visual perception, AI algorithms, and egocentric data collection devices while expanding its robotics and embodied AI activities. Liangxi Digital Development Group contributes industry coordination capabilities and extensive industrial and application resources. Together, they will validate and deploy data collection equipment in real settings.
Deptrum will provide data collection devices, spatial perception algorithms, and related technical expertise to support robot vision, data capture, and algorithm training. Liangxi Digital Development Group will draw on its industry resources and application environments to support validation, deployment, and collaboration, helping bring the equipment and technologies into practical use.
Real-world environments are both the destination for embodied AI and an essential source of high-quality data. Drawing on the industrial base and application resources of Wuxi and Liangxi District, the partners will explore robot visual perception across industrial and urban settings. Data collection and technical validation in these environments will support robot development, algorithm training, and product optimization, while experience across varied conditions will guide continued improvement.
Moving embodied AI from data collection and R&D into applications requires equipment, technology, and industry resources to work together. The partnership will be guided by practical needs, connecting visual perception and data capture with industrial settings so that real-world data can drive technical iteration and accelerate deployment.
As robots move from digital spaces into the physical world, high-quality visual perception data become fundamental to understanding environments and improving intelligence. This partnership is another step in Deptrum’s expansion into embodied AI applications driven by real environments and data needs.
Deptrum will continue focusing on visual perception for the physical AI era, providing specialized equipment and technical support for embodied AI data acquisition. By building visual perception infrastructure that strengthens robot intelligence, we aim to accelerate the transition from embodied AI research to industrial applications.
