DEPTRUM Joins the 23rd China–ASEAN Expo and the 2026 Top 100 Future AI Unicorns Going Global List
During the 23rd China–ASEAN Expo in Nanning, Deptrum was named to the “2026 Top 100 Future Unicorns in Global AI Expansion” list. The company also showcased palm recognition and robot visual perception products, highlighting its continued expansion into international markets.
The list recognizes AI companies expanding internationally across six application areas: smart manufacturing and industrial digitalization; marine energy and intelligent equipment; digital consumer services and smart tourism; smart cities and public services; cross-border trade and multilingual services; and foundational AI technologies and computing infrastructure. It helps companies, investors, and overseas partners identify relevant opportunities in specific application markets.
At the expo, Deptrum presented products and technologies in biometrics and robot visual perception. Its palm recognition devices use palmprints, palm veins, and other biometric features for contactless identification in payments and identity verification. The Nebula series of sToF depth cameras captures spatial depth information through 3D vision, supporting robot obstacle avoidance, navigation, and spatial perception.
Deptrum has steadily expanded its visual perception technologies into international markets, with its palm recognition business establishing broad overseas coverage. Products are now used in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. The company is also expanding along Belt and Road markets, bringing palm recognition to payments and identity verification. R&D capabilities spanning optical hardware, perception algorithms, and end devices enable Deptrum to adapt its products to local requirements and bring palm technology into more practical settings.
Robotics is another important part of Deptrum’s international expansion. As robots move beyond industrial environments into homes, businesses, and other complex real-world spaces, they need smaller, lower-power, and more adaptable vision solutions. Nebula depth cameras already provide visual perception for robot vacuums, commercial robots, and home robots, with continued expansion into emerging fields such as embodied AI.
From palm recognition to robot vision, Deptrum is translating its expertise in optical sensing, intelligent perception, and high-performance computing into products for different markets and applications. Its appearance at the China–ASEAN Expo and inclusion in the 2026 Top 100 list reflect its ongoing international business development.
Guided by global market needs, Deptrum will continue aligning its core technologies and product capabilities with international applications. We will expand our palm recognition, biometrics, and robot vision businesses overseas, bringing Chinese visual perception technology to more countries and regions.
